Delete Recycle Bin from Desktop !

Can I delete the Recycle Bin icon from the desktop in Windows XP/2003?
Yes, you can ! Its easy, once you follow these steps.







To delete the Recycle Bin icon from the Windows XP/2003 desktop follow these steps:



  • Open Registry Editor (Goto Run>regedit>OK)
  • In Registry Editor, just navigate to the following registry key:
    
    
     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace    
    
    
    1. Find the following key:
    {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
    And delete that key.
    Now close the registry Editor.
    PRESTO ! The Recycle bin icon has been disappeared from desktop ! 
    ☻ How to bring the Recycle Bin back?
    As removing the icon is very easy, bringing the vanished icon is easy as well. In order to restore the Recycle Bin back to desktop, you must re-create the missing key.
    Open Registry Editor, and navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace
    
    
    Create the following key:
    {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
    (just highlight this and press Ctrl+v  and paste it, including the brackets).
    Experiment Completed Successfully!
