How to reset security code in Nokia mobiles if it is lost?

This is the most frustrating problem! If you forgot the security code of your Nokia handset, you cannot restore factory settings, lock the cell phone, and many other functions will be disabled that ask for unlock code.

You can restore the security to its default value by these steps.In some Nokia Handsets, it may not work (since they might differ in operating system).

Follow these steps:

• Turn off the mobile
• Take out memory card and sim card 
• Press key 3 + green call key + * 
• Turn on phone while pressing those keys 
• Phone is now formmating.

After formatting, the phone is set to default unlock code i.e. 12345

NOTE: AFTER FORMATTING, YOU LOSE ALL YOUR MESSAGES AND CONTACTS. SO MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE DOING THIS.
